naked Castle is a high-end resort rebuilt and restored by naked, officially opened in 2017, Moganshan. The predecessor of the main structure of naked Castle is the European castle-style mansion No.1, established by Scottish missionary, Dr. Duncan Main, in 1910. The entire construction process of naked Castle took nearly four years. Now it sits on the top of Moganshan, bringing unprecedented, magnificent scenery, historical legends, and a luxurious resort experience.

A large rock, engraved with the word "Glenturret," was discovered in the early excavation of the construction site. It is coincidentally the name of the oldest existing whisky brand from Scotland. The link between the brand and Dr. Duncan Main remains a mystery, however some theories have emerged in recent years that speculate on the possible connection. The rock was preserved and placed by the entrance of the Glenturret Whisky and Cigar Bar as a symbol of respect for the history and origins of this site.
From the outside, you will look up at a Castle that is raw, majestic and exclusive – inspired by the aesthetics of it’s traditional European counterparts. One of the highlights of the Castle you should be on the look out for is the Bell Tower, designed according to historic plans and photographs of the original villa. naked is dedicated to maintain an authentic connection to the site’s history by thoughtfully adding some modern elements whilst retaining the traditional character of the Castle.
